Disney Advertising has signed EGO Outdoor Power Tools, a Chervon company, as the presenting sponsor of an ESPN multi-part original series, taking fans inside the journey of four quarterback hopefuls and their respective paths to the NFL Draft. EGO will appear in opening animations, billboards, and logo placements throughout the series, and will also be featured in several of ESPN’s studio programs including the SportsCenter Draft Special, NFL Live, Get Up, and First Take. Premiering on April 10, On The Clock follows Bryce Young from the University of Alabama; Anthony Richardson from the University of Florida; Hendon Hooker from the University of Tennessee; and Will Levis from the University of Kentucky, as they chase their dreams in the 2023 NFL Draft.
“At Disney, we pride ourselves on being able to assist brands in maximizing their audience reach through our exhilarating sports content,” said Theresa Palmieri, VP, Disney Advertising Sports Brand Solutions. “A leading brand in their market, EGO shares our passion for innovation and pushing boundaries – on and off the field. As the presenting sponsor of On The Clock, EGO will be able to connect with diverse consumers – anytime, anywhere – as they witness the journey of college football’s most promising talent as they become the next generation of NFL superstars.”
For college football players with aspirations of playing on NFL Sunday, the process of proving to teams that they have NFL caliber talent starts well before Draft Day. The series takes viewers alongside these prospect’s draft preparation, beginning with their arrival at the Manning Passing Academy and culminating before NFL Draft Night.
At the top of each episode, the Powerful Moments sponsored by EGO will feature meaningful thoughts and memories around the excitement of the NFL Draft from NFL Quarterback legends, Archie, Peyton and Eli Manning, as well as exclusive video of each prospect at the Academy. The Manning Passing Academy, founded by Archie Manning in 1996 and hosted in Thibodaux, Louisiana, attracts an elite lineup of college quarterbacks and has played a role in developing some of the best NFL QBs in the game today.
“At EGO, we’ve always pushed ourselves to be the best and set the standard for battery powered yard equipment. That’s why we are honored to sponsor ‘On The Clock,” said Joe Turoff, Chief Marketing Officer, Chervon North America. “Our innovation, technology, and determination has made us the #1 rated brand in cordless outdoor power. We can’t wait to see these athletes push themselves to become number #1 as well.”
The first two episodes of the series, highlighting Alabama’s Bryce Young and Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker respectively, will both premiere on April 10th. The third installment, premiering on April 17th will follow Kentucky’s Will Levis. The concluding episode, highlighting Florida’s Anthony Richardson, will air on April 24th. All series episodes will premiere on ESPN2 and be immediately available for viewers to stream on ESPN+.
